進化論一般シンポジウム＠駒場

・一般公開基調シンポジウム　"Human Evolution"　 21世紀COE「心とことば」共催
　第6回日本進化学会　東京大会　2004年8月5日(木)
　東京大学　駒場キャンパス　900番教室　9:00-12:00

われわれ人類は、進化の産物であり、最近縁種のチンパンジー・ボノボグループとゲノム情報にして約１パーセント、分岐年代にして約５００万年しか違わない。しかし、現代人（ホモ・サピエンス）が、知性、言語、文化などにおいて他の大型類人猿と大きく異なることもまた自明である。
このシンポジウムでは、霊長類学、古人類学、ゲノム科学の立場から、ヒトの進化に関する最新の研究成果について紹介していただき、われわれ自身を進化的に理解する機会としてみたい。
